Please note that, in order to ensure the smooth running of the Symposium, as well as to enable the other colleagues to present their papers, it is essential that speakers adhere to these time restrictions
Visual Equipment
Symposium rooms will be equipped by computer projection systems and light pointers
The computer-based presentation must be prepared as ppt files (i.e. MS Office Power Point files) and can be done using the existing computer, or using your own notebook. To enable the proper installation of your ppt file, you may bring your presentation file on CD ROM or DVD ROM or USB Flush drive
Remarks
All lecturers, regardless of their visual equipment requests, are kindly asked to be at the Meeting room at least 20 minutes before the start of the session of the presentation; a few seats in the front row will be reserved for speakers. Announce to the chairman, and contact him or responsible technician for the needed visual equipment.
Speakers are asked to be in the front row at least 5 minutes before the scheduled start of the presentation.
For visual presentation use appropriate letters, the copy of typewritten texts is usually not appropriate for projection. Avoid presenting long proofs or detailed derivations in the visual material.
Do not read your submitted written text word by word. It is much more preferable to point out the basic ideas and/or heuristic explanations.
Inform your audience with a few introductory sentences about the broader significance of your paper. Give sufficient time for slides and projections. Explain each figure, and table as well. Please give the audience enough time to understand a figure (or table) before going on to other topics. Keep a check on your presentation time.
Please respect your chairman's instructions during the presentation.
